Arbitration Battle: ILF v. RULF

Track: Moot Courts


Leading professionals from international and Russian law firms will compete against each other. The Arbitration Battle will be arbitrated by major specialists in the resolution of civil law disputes.

The teams will resolve a mock dispute arisen in the second half of XIX in Saint-Petersburg with respect to the purchase of the shares of a textile mill. Though the dispute has arisen more than 150 years ago, the current substantial and procedural law apply. The teams will present their oral arguments related to the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal and the merits of the case.

The event is organized by the Arbitration Center at the Institute of Modern Arbitration (ACIMA). The moot proceedings will be governed by Arbitration Rules 2017 of the Arbitration Center.
