On the first day of the V St. Petersburg International Legal Forum award “Contribution to the Development of Legal Integration in the Eurasian Space” was granted. Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, presented the awards to the laureates.
Mikhail Lobov, Head of the Department for Policy and Cooperation in the sphere of Human Rights of the Council of Europe, considers that the programme of the V Petersburg International Legal Forum is a fruitful one. He announced that after the end of the conference ‘Legal Education: Alternative View’.
Mikhail Schwarz: Higher education standards are good if everyone competes at the corresponding market
The quality of legal education is influenced by market and its demands, including those of the state. This opinion was expressed by Mikhail Schwarz, associate professor of the Legal Department of St. Petersburg State University and moderator of the conference “Legal Education: alternative view”, that took place within the framework of St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

"In any event we need to find a way out of the situation that Rosgosstrakh has found itself in. We are interested in finding a solution," Central Bank First Deputy Governor Sergei Shvetsov said at the International Legal Forum in St. Petersburg
"In the current conditions, there is a serious danger for the international law, namely the politicization of judicial decisions," Medvedev told a plenary meeting of the 5th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum
